Aqua JW

The 'Aqua' collection designed by Raimondo Sandri,  suggestively evokes the theme of the sea, which has always been an element of our imaginary and culture. Few but essential graphic elements leave an ample surface allowing wool and silk to vibrate in their own natural refinement. The carpets are handknotted in one of the finest knotting processes of 110.000 knots per square metre and are made of Tibetan wool that has been manually spun and woven in Katmandù (Nepal). This rich dense wool comes from sheep that are reared at over 2,000 metres and is exceptionally soft with a natural lustre. Natural highlights distinguish this wool after washing, making it unique.  Natural silk is used for the patterns and further detailed by sculpting with the tip of a scissor. This antique method makes each feature more effective and stand our from the smooth shaven pile of the surface, creating a true work of art.
