The tradition of carpet making entails a sense of social responsibility. Child labour is often in the background of handmade products which come from under-developed countries. Keeping a distance from this kind of exploitation is not enough. Wissenbach, in collaboration with the association ‘Care & Fair’ actively supports a project to abolish children from carpet looms and improve living conditions for their families. As a committed carpet importer we dedicate a percentage of the purchase value of the carpets we import to the foundation of free nurseries, schools and hospitals.
